Below is a photograph of one of the original letters written by a Ferris-Lovejoy family member. The method of cross-writing was used to utilize every square inch of a piece of paper. Remarkably, this was a typical form of correspondence during this time. The students of B.Y.U. have carefully transcribed these letters into typed documents.
