Warren writes to Sarah and Louisa in response to a letter he received from Sarah on April 7th, 1843, suggesting that he’s hostile towards his half-brother, Joshua (Sarah and Louisa’s full brother). Both Warren and Charles had experiences with Joshua that left them feeling that he was a freeloader and a swindler. Their relationship will be discussed in great detail in a later post.
